Here I go...

Hello everyone. I decided to join the I-Pod Learning Community because I'm really curious about its application to Professional Development. Like Rebecca, I am very interested in how the I-Pod can be used as part of the evaluation piece of the events we roll out to the district. I also want to enhance my technological capabilities because I know how important it is for all of us to be on the cutting edge!

Are you thiking of using iPod technology as a tool for evaluation? Will it be a part of something else? What are you evaluating? Who or what will be the subject of the evaluation?

iPod or podcast?

There are lots of good books on podcasting in Ashmore Media Center. That might be a good place to start your thinking process.

Will you and Rebecca be working together on different aspects of evaluating podcasts?

Have you found any great research on podcast evaluation for PD?

Rebecca and I are collaborating on the action research project for examining how evaluation may be conducted on the use of podcasts in professional development settings. We will begin to look if there is any research already available on this topic, and if not, what research can be done. Stay tuned for more exploration into the Podcast Curious zone! :-)

I learned from reading the comments to your question! I too, need to know how to best use technology to make my customers life easier. We all have time issues, communication issues, and use of technology issues, hopefully by being a member of this community I will get some knowledge!
